In 2014, Jack and I began a journey into the world of supplements and ecommerce. We quickly established our own online retail business within the nootropics niche; selling high quality supplements through online selling platforms and eventually our own website. We were overwhelmed by the level of demand and great customer feedback that we immediately received. That is not to say it was a smooth ride from here…
In May 2016 the Psychoactive Substance Act meant that half of our supplement range was deemed illegal for sale. They were caught under an umbrella ban, aimed at putting an end to the sale of legal highs (something nootropic supplements have absolutely no affiliation with). We fought endlessly alongside our local MP to have the legislation reviewed and amended; hoping to save small businesses in similar positions to our own. At first we had some success, with our own retail company even being mentioned in the parliamentary debates within the House of Commons. However some backing by a select few MP’s was just not enough to make any significant change.
From here we seemed to have hit rock bottom. Jack and I worked other jobs during the day and would spend every evening trying to rebuild our brand. Like any business that is going to see it through in these situations, we needed to adapt. So we completely overhauled our supplement range and began to sell on Amazon; learning everything there was to know about the platform. This sparked a journey that has lead us to endless opportunities and we’ve met some great people along the way.
After establishing our own brand on Amazon, we slowly found ourselves edging more and more towards developing and supplying other supplement brands within Amazon’s selling platform. Fast forward several years and a whole wealth of experience later and these turns of events have brought us to here; the birth of Supplement Enterprise. We now supply over 50 supplement retailers and work with several of these companies, in managing their Amazon accounts.
Having had several years of online retail experience within the supplement sector, we know what retailers want and more importantly what the customers themselves desire. We have spent many years sourcing products, building relationships with manufacturers, developing products from start to finish, supplying products to other Amazon sellers and last but not least marketing them within Amazon. That is why we offer the complete private label experience from start to finish unlike many other wholesale supplement companies.
